Who We Are

We are a small but very friendly church based in the part of Banbury called Grimsbury. We were planted as a congregation of Banbury Baptist Church (now called the People's Church) in the late 1980s, but have recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of our establishment as an independent Baptist Church. We're still friends with the People's Church, and also with the other churches in Grimsbury: St Leonard's and West Street Methodist Church, whose building we share.

What We Believe

We believe that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. There's nothing that makes us better than anyone else, but Jesus has saved us. And if he can save us then he can save you too. We'd love to have the opportunity to share this glorious message of freedom with you.

What We Do

We meet together for worship every Sunday morning, but we also organise midweek activities, including Stay and Play for babies and toddlers with their parents/carers every Tuesday, and a drop-in session on a Wednesday morning for anyone who's at a loose end and wants a chat. Twice a year we organise a "free food" event for anyone who is passing; either a Burger Bash in the autumn or a Pancake Party on Shrove Tuesday. Every Christmas we go round the local streets singing carols. From time to time we organise Alpha courses as there is demand.

Contact

The leaders of the church are Jay Ayliff, Susie Fuller, Peter Goode, and Lorraine Squire. The best way to get in touch is to come to our service on Sunday morning. Otherwise send an email to enquiries@grimsburybaptist.org.uk

Come and Join Us!

We meet for worship on Sundays at 9.15 a.m., at West Street Methodist Church. Our worship is informal, friendly and includes the best of traditional hymns together with more contemporary songs. Sometimes our service is planned for the whole family to stay together; on other occasions, there are special activities for the children during part of the service.
